Dubai Named World’s Best City for Solo Female Travelers in 2025

Dubai has been officially recognized as the top global destination for women traveling alone, according to a comprehensive study by insurance provider InsureMyTrip. The emirate climbed four positions from last year’s ranking to claim first place among 62 cities evaluated for safety and entertainment accessibility.

The research highlights Dubai’s exceptionally low crime rates and gender-specific public transport accommodations as key factors in its top ranking. The city scored impressively across multiple safety metrics: 83.11 out of 100 for nighttime walking safety, 86.23 for general gender-neutral security, and 4.58 out of 5 for quality of entertainment options.

Dubai also dominated social media conversations among female travelers, amassing 35.7 million TikTok mentions – the highest of any city analyzed. With an overall score of 7.71 out of 10, Dubai outperformed second-place Krakow, Poland and third-ranked Madrid, Spain in the final assessment.

InsureMyTrip emphasized that security remains the paramount concern for solo female travelers, noting that such journeys offer unparalleled freedom, opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals, and unique personal experiences. Dubai’s recognition reflects its successful combination of robust safety infrastructure with vibrant cultural and leisure offerings tailored to independent women explorers.

The achievement reinforces Dubai’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a welcoming, inclusive destination while maintaining its reputation as one of the world’s safest major cities for all visitors.
