Dubai to Launch Unified Digital Platform for Government Services
Dubai has announced a new initiative to create shared digital channels, simplifying access to government services. The project, developed in collaboration with various government entities, aims to establish a unified, user-centric digital model.
High-ranking officials attended the initiative’s launch event, including Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary-General of the Dubai Executive Council, and Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai. The project was approved in February 2025 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, and Minister of Defense.
Under this initiative, all government services will be accessible through seven specialized platforms. Existing platforms such as Dubai Now (for individuals), Invest in Dubai (for businesses), and Visit Dubai (for tourists) will be integrated, along with four new platforms dedicated to transportation, justice, construction, and trade.
Digital Dubai is leading the effort, aligning with the city’s broader strategy to digitize services and strengthen its position as a global leader in online governance. Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti emphasized that the new system will provide a seamless and integrated digital experience, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a hub for technology and innovation.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), noted that digital channels have become the primary way residents access government services. This shift highlights the importance of developing shared digital platforms and improving intergovernmental coordination.
The initiative also seeks to enhance operational efficiency, optimize resources, and leverage data analytics to predict service trends. Eventually, all of Dubai’s government services will be available through these unified channels, eliminating the need for users to navigate multiple platforms. The move reflects Dubai’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation and improving quality of life for residents and businesses.
