Dubai Launches New Investment Program to Empower Hatta Residents
Under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, a new initiative has been launched to foster development in the Hatta region. The project introduces 14 new investment and commercial opportunities specifically for local citizens.
This initiative is designed to empower entrepreneurship, generate new employment, and build a sustainable local economy. In a significant show of support, all commercial spaces within the project will be provided to UAE citizens living in Hatta free of charge for one full year. This measure aims to create favorable conditions for small business growth and support families seeking financial independence.
The new investment facilities are located across a 750-square-meter area and will include four restaurants, four retail shops, and six food and beverage kiosks. The offerings are planned to be diverse, featuring everything from traditional Arabic and Emirati cuisine to Western food, alongside cafes, equipment rental outlets, and souvenir shops. These ventures are expected to boost tourism, promote local culture, and stimulate business activity.
The Director General of Dubai’s Public Facilities Authority, Bader Anwahi, noted that such opportunities are being offered to residents for the first time. He emphasized the initiative’s importance in strengthening the regional economy and supporting Emirati entrepreneurs. The new projects are anticipated to create jobs, open doors for innovative business ideas, and help local families expand their enterprises.
The municipality invites residents of Hatta to submit their applications through the official website www.dm.gov.ae/business. The selection of participants will be carried out based on established evaluation criteria.
