Dubai Ranked Among Top 10 Most Popular Cities for Solo Travelers

Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a leading global tourism hub, this time breaking into the top ten list of destinations most attractive to travelers who prefer to journey alone. This recognition comes from a new study by the British travel company Travelbag.

While traditional leaders like Japan, Canada, and Australia still occupy the highest spots on many travel “wish lists,” Dubai is rapidly gaining popularity, particularly among residents of the United Kingdom. The emirate’s growing appeal is largely linked to the trend of solo travel. According to Travelbag, nearly half of Britons (46%) plan their vacations based on a “bucket list,” and Dubai is seen as an ideal fit for such trips.

Experts note that a key factor is safety. The emirate remains one of the safest cities in the world, including for women traveling alone. Its low crime rate, well-lit streets, and reliable public transport make it particularly attractive for independent tourists.

Travelers are also drawn to the sheer diversity of experiences Dubai offers—from walks through the historic Al Fahidi district to a vibrant nightlife, and from shopping in the largest malls and traditional souks to extreme adventures like desert safaris or skydiving. This combination of safety and variety solidifies its status as a premier destination for solo explorers.
