Dubai Unifies 40 Malls Under Dubai Retail Brand

Dubai Holding Asset Management has announced the creation of a unified retail brand named Dubai Retail, bringing together more than 40 shopping and entertainment centers across the city under a single umbrella. This strategic consolidation represents one of the most significant developments in Dubai’s retail sector, integrating a diverse portfolio of properties that includes 10 shopping malls—among them Palm Jumeirah Mall (formerly Nakheel Mall), Ibn Battuta Mall, The Outlet Village, and Nad Al Sheba Mall—alongside 15 lifestyle destinations such as Bluewaters, JBR, and Palm West Beach, and 18 neighborhood retail centers serving residential communities.

The combined portfolio boasts a leasable area exceeding 13 million square feet and hosts over 6,500 retailers, from international luxury brands to local enterprises. This move is designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve scalability, and strengthen the competitiveness of Dubai’s retail landscape. Customers can expect a more integrated and consistent experience, with potential benefits including unified loyalty programs, streamlined navigation across venues, and improved customer service standards.

The initiative also includes plans for further expansion, most notably the development of Al Khail Avenue—a new 1.2 million square foot retail space—and the continued enhancement of Nad Al Sheba Mall. This reflects a forward-looking strategy aimed not only at consolidating existing assets but also at growing the emirate’s retail footprint in line with Dubai’s broader economic vision.

By uniting these properties under the Dubai Retail brand, the entity can pursue more cohesive marketing campaigns, optimize tenant mix across locations, and better adapt to the evolving preferences of both residents and tourists. The move signals a new chapter in Dubai’s retail story, one focused on creating synergies, elevating customer experiences, and reinforcing the city’s status as a leading global shopping destination.
