Hatta Opens First Mountain Horse Riding Trail
Dubai Municipality has announced the opening of Hatta’s first dedicated sandy horse riding trail for residents and visitors. The new path stretches 2.54 kilometers with a width of three meters, forming part of the first phase of the mountain region’s development under the guidance of the Hatta Development Supreme Committee.
This equestrian trail aims to strengthen Hatta’s status as a tourism and leisure destination while supporting the growth of Dubai’s tourism, economic, and trade sectors. It offers premium conditions for recreation and sports within Hatta’s distinctive mountain landscape and is expected to attract new investments while boosting small and medium-sized businesses in equestrian services, retail, hospitality, and tourism.
Badr Anwahi, Director General of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, stated that the trail has been constructed to international standards, providing guests with a safe and memorable way to experience Hatta’s unique terrain. The project also aims to establish Hatta as a preferred destination for horse riding enthusiasts in Dubai, preserving equestrian traditions as part of the UAE’s national heritage.
The trail is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders and offers breathtaking views of panoramic mountain scenery. Visitors can either rent horses or bring their own. The sandy path meets international safety and quality standards, marking an important milestone in enhancing Dubai’s position as a leading city for living, working, and traveling.
