Majid Al Futtaim Announces $4.2 Billion ‘Forest’ Mall in Dubai

Development group Majid Al Futtaim has unveiled plans for the Ghaf Woods Mall, a new $4.2 billion retail and entertainment destination in Dubai. Promoted as the region’s first shopping centre fully integrated with a natural environment, the project aims to symbolize a new era for retail and urban community development.

The mall is designed to complement the adjacent Ghaf Woods residential district, a community with a total projected value of $4.19 billion. The core concept revolves around uniting nature, technology, and human-centric design to create an exceptional space for living and leisure, aligning with modern urban trends in Dubai.

Situated along the E311 highway, the Ghaf Woods Mall will bring together premium retail outlets, dining establishments, and leisure and entertainment zones within a setting that preserves a natural atmosphere. The developer plans to attract leading international brands and anchor tenants, capitalizing on the rapidly growing surrounding neighbourhood. For residents of the Ghaf Woods community and nearby areas, the mall is positioned to become a central hub for shopping, socializing, and relaxation.

Upon completion, this will become the 30th shopping mall operated by Majid Al Futtaim globally and its 19th in the UAE. The company heralds it as the first in the region to implement a “future of trade” concept, one that successfully blends commerce, culture, and a commitment to sustainable development.
