Why the MENA Region is Watching Alexander Lozben: Fintech Leadership Across Borders
The Entrepreneur Middle East Leadership Awards 2025, held at W Dubai – The Palm, highlighted leaders whose work is pushing the region’s economic and technological boundaries. Among them was Alexander Lozben, founder of INTERHASH, who was named Fintech Leader of the Year.
Lozben’s influence extends beyond any single company or market. An IT entrepreneur and fintech expert, he is recognised as one of the early architects of crypto infrastructure in Europe and the CIS. From Dubai, he now works across sustainable mining, Web3, blockchain analytics, AI+Blockchain solutions, robotics and digital identity, with projects that span MENA, Europe and Central Asia.
Crucially, Lozben plays an active role in shaping how fintech and digital assets are integrated into regional economies. He collaborates with digital tech parks and government entities in the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, contributing to regulatory models for digital assets, sustainable mining frameworks, Web3-enabled governance and fintech platforms.
The awards committee highlighted not only his technological achievements but also his contribution to building digital infrastructure that supports the next phase of fintech development. This includes integrating energy efficiency, automation, data-driven solutions and advanced blockchain frameworks into real-world projects.
At the core of Lozben’s work is INTERHASH, a company providing a full spectrum of mining services. Under his leadership, INTERHASH has become one of the global leaders in mining services. At the height of the cryptocurrency market, more than 50% of Bitcoin mined in the Russian Federation came from INTERHASH clients, and the company’s total connected capacity accounts for up to 7% of the entire Bitcoin network. Its long-term strategy focuses on international expansion, process automation, transparency and strengthened analytics.
For Lozben, Dubai is a natural hub for this activity. As he explains:
“Dubai today is not a geography — it is a platform. What is being built here are not companies, but ecosystems of the future.”
He links regional ambition with global dynamics:
“The world is changing faster than ever. It’s not enough to keep up — you must stay one step ahead.”
By combining infrastructure development, regulatory input and cross-border collaboration, Alexander Lozben illustrates how the MENA region is positioning itself at the forefront of the global fintech and Web3 transformation.
