Arsenal and Emirates extend landmark partnership until 2033

Arsenal and Emirates have renewed one of football’s longest-running commercial partnerships, extending their agreement until 2033.

Under the renewed deal, the Dubai-based airline will remain Arsenal’s front-of-shirt sponsor, training kit partner and stadium naming-rights partner. The extension continues what is already the longest-running kit partnership in the Premier League.

The two organisations first joined forces in 2006, when Arsenal moved into its new north London stadium, which became known as Emirates Stadium. Over the following two decades, the airline’s name and branding became closely connected to the club’s global identity.

The renewal comes during an important period for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s team won the Premier League title last season, ending a 22-year wait for the club and adding another major chapter to the partnership between Arsenal and Emirates.

Arsenal chief executive Richard Garlick said Emirates had remained alongside the club through different eras, challenges and defining moments. He described the extension as a sign of both organisations’ shared confidence in Arsenal’s future.

Emirates president Sir Tim Clark said the partnership had grown beyond a traditional sponsorship agreement, connecting millions of supporters around the world with the club they follow.

A global partnership with Dubai at its centre

For Emirates, the relationship with Arsenal has become one of its most recognisable international sports partnerships.

The airline’s branding appears not only on the club’s shirts but also throughout Emirates Stadium and Arsenal’s training kit. This gives the Dubai carrier year-round visibility across Premier League matches, European competitions, international broadcasts and the club’s global fan network.

The agreement also demonstrates how Dubai-based companies continue to use major sports partnerships to strengthen their international presence. Emirates has built a wide sponsorship portfolio across football, tennis, motorsport, sailing and other global competitions.

Arsenal’s international reach makes the club particularly valuable in that strategy. Its supporters extend far beyond the UK, including large communities across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.

Twenty years of shared history

The partnership has now lasted through stadium development, managerial changes, major finals and different generations of Arsenal players.

Over the coming weeks, Arsenal and Emirates are expected to mark their 20-year relationship through a series of anniversary celebrations.

The club’s immediate schedule includes an Emirates Cup match against Borussia Dortmund, followed by a Community Shield meeting with Manchester City at Wembley. Arsenal will then begin its Premier League campaign against Coventry on August 21.

By extending the agreement to 2033, Emirates and Arsenal are turning an already historic sponsorship into an even longer-term commitment.

For Dubai, the deal keeps one of the city’s most prominent global brands at the centre of English football. For Arsenal, it provides continuity with a partner that has become deeply embedded in the club’s modern identity.
