Etihad Rail opens Sharjah bookings with Fujairah fares from Dh19
Etihad Rail has opened bookings from its Al Dhaid station in Sharjah, giving passengers a new 25-minute connection to Fujairah with fares starting from just Dh19.
The service expands the UAE’s growing passenger rail network and gives residents of Sharjah’s central region another option for travelling between emirates.
The Al Dhaid station is located in Muragabat, with journeys currently available to Fujairah and Abu Dhabi.
Sharjah to Fujairah in 25 minutes
The journey between Al Dhaid and Fujairah takes only 25 minutes, with both Comfort and Premium tickets available.
The morning service departs Al Dhaid at 9.41am and arrives in Fujairah at 10.06am.
Comfort fares for the morning train start at Dh19, while Premium tickets begin at Dh49.
An evening service leaves Al Dhaid at 7.51pm and reaches Fujairah at 8.16pm. Tickets start from Dh24 in Comfort Class and Dh79 in Premium.
Return journeys from Fujairah
Passengers travelling in the opposite direction can also choose between morning and evening services.
The morning train leaves Fujairah at 6.05am and arrives in Al Dhaid at 6.30am, with Comfort fares from Dh19 and Premium tickets from Dh49.
The evening service departs Fujairah at 5.17pm and arrives in Sharjah at 5.42pm.
Comfort tickets for the evening journey start from Dh19, while Premium fares begin at Dh79.
Al Dhaid to Abu Dhabi from Dh69
Etihad Rail is also offering connections between Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
Tickets from Al Dhaid to the UAE capital start at Dh69 in Comfort Class and Dh149 in Premium Class.
The new route gives residents in central Sharjah a direct rail connection to two major destinations while reducing dependence on road travel.
Buses, taxis and Uber connect to the station
Passengers can reach Al Dhaid station using public transport, taxis and ride-hailing services.
Three bus routes currently connect directly with the station:
ER1 serves Al Madam Bus Station, ER2 connects with Al Sajaa Bus Station and ER3 runs to Al Jubail Bus Station.
Uber and Sharjah taxis are also available, with taxi meter fares starting from Dh3.
Free parking available
Drivers heading to the station can currently use its parking area free of charge.
Al Dhaid station has 26 parking spaces, including 19 spaces for conventional vehicles and seven for electric vehicles.
The station also includes designated areas for taxis, ride-hailing pick-ups and passenger drop-offs.
What passengers will find inside the station
Facilities at Al Dhaid station include a passenger waiting area, prayer room, toilets, first-aid room and ticket vending machines.
An information and support desk is also available, alongside dedicated pick-up and drop-off areas.
The aim is to give passengers a straightforward transition between rail travel and local transport once they arrive in Sharjah.
Etihad Rail passenger network continues to expand
Bookings from Al Dhaid have opened as Etihad Rail continues rolling out its passenger services across the UAE.
The latest connection is particularly significant for residents of Sharjah’s central region, giving them faster access to Fujairah and a new direct option for travelling to Abu Dhabi.
With a 25-minute journey and fares from Dh19, the Al Dhaid–Fujairah route also becomes one of the most affordable new inter-emirate connections on the network.
