UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 to take place in Dubai

The sixth UAE SWAT Challenge Championship, organised by Dubai Police, will take place at the Al Ruwaya Training Base in Dubai from 1-5 February 2025. This international event will bring together elite specialised police teams from around the world to compete in five intense tactical challenges.

The UAE SWAT Challenge Organising Committee has announced the registration of 93 teams representing various police departments and tactical units from around the world. Among them are 12 teams from Kazakhstan, making that country the leader in the number of participants from a single nation.

Kazakhstan returned to the championship with strong teams after a successful performance last year, when the Sardar team finished third overall, behind only the Dubai Police teams. This year, the Kazakhstani teams intend to improve their results and demonstrate a high level of preparation.

Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander of Dubai Police, noted that the UAE SWAT Challenge 2025 has established itself as the world’s largest event for special units and tactical teams. He emphasised that the number of participating teams from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas continues to grow every year.

Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Acting Deputy Director of Security and Emergency Management and Chairman of the Organising Committee, said that the UAE SWAT Challenge aims to promote competitiveness, share experiences and expose participants to global best practices in the field of rapid response. He added that the competition not only assesses the efficiency and readiness of the teams, but also promotes the spirit of co-operation.

This year, participants will compete in five specialised trials that will test both physical and professional skills. These include: tactical operations, assault trials, officer rescue competition, high tower trials and an obstacle course.
